Hilltop has four Toddler classrooms designed to offer a nurturing, exciting, and educational day for children 1-2 years old. Each classroom is staffed with a full-time Lead Teacher and full-time Assistant Teacher, as well as several part-time aides throughout the day. The teaching staff strives hard to maintain a very warm, comforting and loving environment for our toddler children.

Toddlers will participate in a well-rounded, play-centered curriculum drawing from many areas of development including: Language and Memory, Large and Small Motor Skills, Dramatic Play, Art and Sensory, Health and Safety, Music, Pre-Literacy, Pre-Math, and Pre-Science. These rooms will also focus heavily all year long on self-help, independence, and social development. Children will gain experience and knowledge through both child-initiated and teacher-directed activities with a strong emphasis on curiosity, exploration, and fun!

To enter a Toddler room, children must be 12 months old by August 1st of the school year in which they begin. They must also be able to feed themselves and go without a bottle or a morning nap. Ratio is 1 adult per 5 children with a total of 10 children per room.
